ALL SCARS TRAININGS ARE NOW VIRTUAL!
Although there is a cost to SCARS, we continue to raise funds so that no member of our Bermuda community has to pay for our virtual training sessions.
We are grateful to our corporate and community donors!
Virtual Training (COMMUNITY SESSIONS)
Darkness to Light ‘Stewards of Children’ is a 3 hour award winning prevention training program, that teaches adults how to prevent, recognize and react responsibly to child sexual abuse.
VIRTUAL TRAINING (PRIVATE SESSION)
We offer private sessions of our Darkness to Light ‘Stewards of Children’ 3 hour prevention training, for youth serving organizations, families or any private group with a minimum of 10 participants.
For those youth serving organizations who mandate prevention training for their staff and volunteers, our virtual 2 hour recertification curriculum should be available by the end of 2021.
“Debi and Helen were wonderful facilitators, I learned loads of information and was interactive with the program. I asked lots of probing questions and received adequate answers. Thanks again for allowing me to take part in this vital workshop!” (April 2021)
I would like to thank you for the opportunity, as being a sexual assault victim I learned sooo much and now I can protect my kids more and teach them about how to look out for sexual rapist. I gained a lot of knowledge. I will be recertifying myself every 3 years. And ill like to know more about your program. Thank you so much. (May 2021)
It is very obvious that the presenters are passionate about this topic. They did an excellent job. It is so important to get this information out to everyone in Bermuda... those that work with children and even those that don’t.” (April 2021)
“I thoroughly enjoyed the training. I thought that the virtual training was much better as the screen and information was right in front of me as opposed to being on a screen further away from me.”
"This is my third time taking this training and every time it reinforced more to me the importance that this training exists and the necessity for ALL adults to have access to it.”
