
Cindy Clarke

Cindy sits on the National Child Safeguarding Committee, and is also a member of the Bermuda Bar Council.
Cindy has an extensive background in the prosecution of offences against children, having worked in the Department of Public Prosecutions since she was called to the Bar in Bermuda in August 2000; she had been previously called to the Bar of England and Wales in July 1999. She has played a major role in reforming the common law in relation to the prosecution of these cases, and also advises and suggests amendments to legislation. She is also internationally recognised for her work with The INTERPOL Specialist Group on Crimes against Children.
Cindy has a BA from Trent University, and an LLB from the University of Kent. She has five Bermuda Police Commissioner’s Commendations and two Bermuda Police Service Merit Awards for her work as a prosecutor.
