Michelle F. Furqan

SCARS Director and Corporate Secretary

Michelle Furqan is a legal professional with over 35 years’ experience in the legal and international business sectors. She graduated from the University of Kent Law with a Certificate in Law. She also holds a Corporate Procedures Certification with Institute Chartered Secretaries and Administrators. Michelle is a Fellow Member of the Institute of Paralegals and is a Member of the Chartered Institute of Legal Executives in the United Kingdom.  She is also a Qualified Member of the New York City Paralegal Association Inc.

In the past Michelle has served on the Board of Prison Fellowship (Bermuda) and has volunteered her time on the Angel Tree Project and the Women’s Resource Center. After the death of her husband, Michelle founded a women’s support group called Widows Wears Stilettos, Bermuda Chapter. This organization encourages widows of all ages by reinforcing that they are not alone in the widowhood chapter of their lives. 

Michelle is the mother of three children, William, Benjamin and McKenzie.
