Dr. Kauliss P. Simmons

Dr. Kauliss P. Simmons has worked in clinical psychology for more than 20 years. She worked in general hospital settings in greater Toronto area, University of Toronto and maintained a private practice in Ontario, Canada. In Bermuda, she offered EAP services, assessment and psychotherapy for Benedict Associates in 2007. Later, she began full-time employment with The Bermuda Hospitals Board offering psycho-diagnostic assessments, treatment and consultation to the HIV Clinic, Dialysis Clinic and the inpatient/outpatient department of The Mid-Atlantic Wellness Institute. She currently works temporarily at KEMH as a clinical psychology consultant/while also maintaining a full-time clinical practice in the heart of the city.
Academically, Dr. K. P. Simmons completed an Associates Degree from The Bermuda College, a Bachelor Honors Degree from Acadia University, a Master’s of Science Degree from Indiana University and a Clinical Psychology Doctorate from Illinois School of Professional Psychology (Argosy University) in Chicago, U.S.A. She went on to complete a CPA/APA accredited training post in Toronto, Canada. She completed a two-year fellowship in psychotherapy from the University of Toronto. She currently maintains her license with the College of Psychologists of Ontario and registration with The Bermuda Psychologists Registration Council.
Dr. K. P. Simmons enjoys working with adults from ages 18-65+. She utilizes an integrative psychotherapy approach that includes cognitive-behavioral, psychodynamic and EMDR treatment modalities. Her areas of interest are trauma, sex assault, PTSD, relationship difficulties, complicated grief, mood disorders, and dysfunctional coping styles.
