Trevor Brookes

Trevor began his career with KPMG in Winnipeg in 1986.  Having qualified as a Canadian Chartered Accountant in 1989, he transferred to the KPMG Bermuda office and progressed to the level of Associate Partner.  

After 14 years in public accounting, Trevor joined XL Capital in May 2000 to lead the development of an Internal Audit function for a fast-growing S&P 500 company.  He also served as the head of internal audit for RenaissanceRe Holdings from 2005 to 2011 and PartnerRe from 2011 to March 2025.

Following his retirement from PartnerRe, Trevor is now seeking independent director roles in the financial services sector.

Trevor serves as a member of the Steering Committee of Europe Collaboration (planting and serving vibrant churches across Europe’s cultural centres) and is also as a leader at The Evangelical Church of Bermuda.
